Shaken

All Shook Up

Hmmm, well, i dont generally put my personal life on view. And I dont really see the point in starting now. Its not that I wish to hide what is going on. Enough people know. frankly…

Obviously this is all random crap

Anyway, no updates here for a while, mainly ue to having other things on my mind, and NTL not providing a working net connection…

Meanwhile Little bro has started the idleone weblog and even gary (of all people got bored and created foggylog so there are other things to read now…

Life is good. Very Good. By the way….

All at Sea

This is how you do it?

"When you live on board a boat all your life, the last thing you want to do is fall in the water" says the owner of a Thames Barge whihc Channel 4’s Slavage Squad fixed up for sailing.

I suppose many of the techniques apply to the Ships I Sail as well really. Glad I caught that one really…

Real World

Meanwhile… back at the office…

Trying to tie my need to do some overtime this week (so i get Jan 2nd in lieu) with my need to see people entering and leaving the site, as part of my traffic survey. Looks like the plan will work to me. All I have to do is get out of bed at an (un)reasonable hour.

Graft

The Beginning

I started work today. Which was nice. I now start work at 7.30 in the morning each day, whihc is less nice, but the earlier one starts, then the earlier one finishes, in my case that will be 12.30 on a friday. If it needs extra time, then i prefer to do that earlier in the week. This leads to a longer weekend. But at least this way I get a productive period in the shops, without it being the weekend…

So what am I really doing there? Well, the simple answer is placements in different parts of the company, to gain a bredth of experience. Currently this means I am working in "Site Services" whihc really is a part of the comany I have had nothing to do with at all up to now. Today I was shown around a number of plant rooms. There are a variety of projects, its about 8 currently, which I will have running concurrently, so I shouldnt get the dry patches that one associates with most summer projects. Should be fun. Time will tell.
