So that Little trip went well…
Some of you may have noticed I disappeared for several days, specifically from friday afternoon, until quite late on wednesday evening. This was the end of the last month and a worth or so of work that I have been doing.
I enjoyed myself, all in all, despite leaving the hotel at 0530 each day, and then getting back there at about 1830 or later after 12 hours on a customer site. Hard work but really rewarding.
The current reward is not the feeling of elation at having got the breadline working again, after carrying out some reasonably major works to it (at least I think so) but the reward of this image in my mind of a line of dough balls marching along a series of conveyors…. kind of apt really as the work I am now doing is all about tracking batches of dough/bread through an entire plant.
Not sure i would want to work on site full time, that can only be answered after some more experience. I did enjoy it enopugh to want to do it again, however. All I need to do is keep an eye out for an oppertunity!
