I’ll bet the customer I spoke to earlier didnt realise i was at home, and not in the office. Mind you, why should he? he phoned me on my work number. And I answered my work number. The fact that my work phone was sat ontop of the TV in my lounge, plugged into the back of my home router is neither here nor there!

I think the office in the new house is going to need to have ethernet ports. A wireless bridge to the router, or a repeater or something. Just to interface to the phone.

Service is not what I received from the COGRI inspection that should have occured this morning. No sign of the chappie at 9am. and no word from him since. Oh Joy.

Work at the moment is quite hectic, although the timescales seem to be rather fluid…. its good to be busy of course… and its a relaxed environment that I work in. Which is nice.

Meanwhile, we might have the bricks and mortar thing sorted in the next couple of weeks.

Hmmm, who stole Vibe from the air? There I was driving home, and decided I was far enough south that it was time to search 105 to 108. And all I got was kiss. Hmmmmm. Still has lots of local council ads. But still….

Apparently the two most stressful things one can do is to get married or to buy a house.

Don’t get so excited at the back there…. the sweep-stake is not over yet. Today I wrote a cheque to Bryant homes and so we now have reserved a house somewhere in the north…. After Vicki had decided she did like the place it was an odd case of her walking faster than me in an effort to make sure no one beat us to the sales office whilst we had been wandering round the house.

Obviously I must have been getting really bored or something, as what I really want to be doing is sorting out the purchase (and finance) of a new house. But it is a very nice house.

In the meantime its my first night at my new scout troop tomorrow. The fly in that ointment is that my uniform is still in Peterborough, I would have gone south and picked it up, but it was either house hunting or driving all the way south and back.

In Peterborough I have been using ASDL4Less who were giving me 512K broadband. But it was unlimited. It was the cheapest unlimited deal at the time (Feb 2005 or thereabouts) and I was really happy with it.

But now I am up north it is not much use to me… and they could not transfer my package. I would have had to sign up again, ad paid ?60 for connection.

So soon I will be connected by Tiscali. And still only be paying ?14.99, but now on 2Meg unlimited. Which will be nice.

And the good news is apparently moving my connection elsewhere will be free. so no additional cost when it comes to time to move. Which is nice.
